Special Needs Ambassadors Program

This program was created to raise awareness about developmental disorders and to assist individuals with special needs and their families in navigating life. The goal of the program is to support families through listening and advocacy. As a mother of a special needs child I have received ten years and eight months of training on the spectrum of developmental disorders, along with strategies to assist individuals and their families throughout their journey; because of my continued journey with my own son, Tarionn “Tari” Hanner, who was diagnosed with Neurologic Dysphagia, Intellectual Disability, and Hypoxic-Ischemic Encephalopathy; a brain injury due to lack of oxygen at birth, has encountered the unthinkable.

This journey has brought on a new life for me. An overwhelming amount of doctor appointments, hospital visits, numerous nurses, good and bad, plenty of sleepless nights, a whole lot of crying, and a few death scares, but…. by God’s grace, mercy, and his magnificent strength, I’ve survived and so can you! Although this journey has been tough, I’ve learned, earned, and gained so much in the process. It has been a blessing in disguise. It has strengthened my faith, given me joy like no other, and peace that surpasses earthly understanding. It has taught me charity, modesty, goodness, kindness, self-control, patience, understanding, and most importantly, agape love for all of mankind! It is with great passion that I desire to reach, teach and help other families in this journey along the way.

The Special Needs Ambassadors Program is currently available to families that can benefit from resources, commonalities, a listening ear, or someone just to chat with, who truly understands the many different emotions experienced with being a caregiver of a special needs child or family member. Families can request assistance by scheduling a free 30-minute Snap Call.
